In August 2017, twelve study sites were investigated, by SCUBA diving, off Chioggia and Grado in order to measure benthic species diversity and collect samples for taxonomic and molecular
analyses. Some of these sites have never been studied before.
Moreover, 12-years old experimental travertine tiles were collected from three sites in order to quantify long-term biocontruction and erosion processses.
